This is his treatise on tactics in the age of steam. Pellew is quick to point out that vessels with their own motive power will fight sea battles in a new way. He organizes and comments on the different forms of engagement. With folding b/w plate of divisional pennants and distinguishing flags, as well as 9 folding plates of battle plans and formations.
