Hon. Sir Fleetwood Broughton Reynolds PELLEW, Admiral, C.B., (Companion of the Order of the Bath), K.C.B., (Knight Commander of the Bath), Admiral of the Blue, R.N., b. 13 Dec. 1789, bapt 1790 Mawgan in Meneage, Cornwall. 2rd s. of Sir Edward Pellew, 1st Viscount EXMOUTH, He entered the navy in 1799; C.B., (Companion of the Order of the Bath), 1815; K.C.H., (Knight Commander of the Bath), 1836; commander-in-chief on the East India and China Station, 1852, where in 1853 his arbitrary severity provoked a mutiny, the third which had broken out under his command; summarily recalled in consequence and saw no further service. Made admiral in 1858. m. 1stly, 5 June 1816 Saint James's, Westminster, London Harriet Frances Webster, b. 179? d. 7 Aug. 1849 and is buried in Florence, Italy, only dau. of Sir Godfrey Webster, 4th Bart., of Battle Abbey, Sussex, by his wife Elizabeth Vassall, later Lady Holland, and had issue,

(aged 72) Buried, 7 Aug. 1861, in Florence, Italy. She m. 2ndly 22 Feb. 1860, the 7th Earl of Berkeley and d. 1 Nov. 1914 leaving issue.
