Pownoll William Pellew, Captain in the Royal Navy. b. 27 Jan. 1837, of 17 Rue Bayard, Pau, Basses Pyrénées, France and Chateau de Bellevue, Laroin, Pau, Basses Pyrénées, France. 3rd s. of Rev. Hon. Edward William Pellew (4th s. of 1st Viscount Exmouth) and Mary Anne (Marianne) Winthrop (b. 1809 d. 6 Mar. 1867), dau. of Stephen John Winthrop, M.D., (Doctor of Medicine) m. 20 June 1867, Mary Elizabeth Bagnell, dau. of Rev. John Armstrong Bagnell, and d.12 Mar. 1872, (aged 35) at Madeira and is buried there, leaving issue,
